Profile of Reverend Janet Hallam
I am married to Jez (Jeremy) and have four sons and three grandchildren.
My secular work is that of a community nurse, working in the Newport area with the elderly and those with chronic long term illness. I have been a community nurse since 1999 but have been in some form of nursing since leaving school at the age of sixteen.
I was ordained in June 2008 to the diaconate, which means that the focus of ministry is to people outside the church, with the aim of connecting the life of the church family to the people in society around, then bringing the problems of the world back into the church for prayer. My interest include, cooking good food, good wine, walking and spending time with my family and grandchildren.
